Line of Duty Death - Firefighter Thomas Wilson Berry III

It is with deep sadness and sincere regret that the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company announces the passing of Firefighter Thomas Wilson Berry III as a result of injuries sustained while operating at a motor vehicle collision on Lewes-Georgetown Highway east of Georgetown on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

July 01, 2024

On Monday, July 1, 2024 at 19:24 hours the Ellendale Fire Company was alerted to an MVC in the 10000 block of N Old State Road in Lincoln. Crews were already out of the station for training in town and 75 Command, Engine 75-3, and Tower 75-7 responded from the training site along with Ambulance B75 from quarters.

Barn Fire

February 08, 2024

At 07:23 hours on Thursday, February 8, 2024 the Ellendale Fire Company was alerted for a barn fire in the 16000 block of Beaver Dam Road south of Ellendale.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, President Kyle Perry, Asst. Chief Aaron Moore, and Asst. Engineer Jerry Carroll Sr. travelled to Scranton, PA to finalize the purchase on our newest piece of apparatus and drive it home to Delaware.

Vehicle Fire

January 22, 2024

On Monday, January 22, 2024 the Ellendale Fire Company was alerted to assist the Milton Fire Dept. with a vehicle fire at 24855 Broadkill Road in Milton.

Structure Fire

January 04, 2024

Crews from our Ellendale and Lincoln stations assisted the Greenwood Fire Company with a structure fire after midnight on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

April 23, 2018

2018 Spartan Metro Star, 1250 GPM Hale QFlo pump, 750 gallon water tank, 30 gallon foam tank, 6 man cab. Hose: Unit carries one 150 ft pre-connected 1 3/4" front bumper line, two 200 ft pre-connected 1 3/4" crosslays, 1000 ft of 3" supply line, and 1000 ft of 5" supply line. Tools: Unit carries a full compliment of hand and powered tools, electric powered Hurst vehicle extrication equipment, multi-gas monitor, thermal imaging camera, and first aid equipment.
