On Saturday, July 27, 2024 the Ellendale Fire Company responded to an automatic crash notification at Ponder Road and Holly Tree Road. Crews arrived to find a two vehicle MVC in the intersection with injuries. An additional ambulance from the Memorial Fire Company Sta 89 was requested to assist and Ellendale and Memorial ambulances transported two patients to Bayhealth Sussex Campus.
