On Sunday February 15, 2009 around 1:30 p.m. Fire Marshall Dick Ward also an associate member of the Ellendale Fire Department, needed some brush burned off at his hunting property in the Ellendale Swamp. Mr. Ward, Assistant Chief Rowland Moore, Fire Captain Ian Moore & Firefighter Steve Johnson got in Brush 75-01 and headed off to the property. Captain Moore and FF Johnson were instructed of which areas Mr. Ward wanted burned off and which he wanted protected. After burning the brush, 75-01 cleared and returned to station.
