On Thursday, January 29, 2009, at about 17:00 hrs, Ellendale Fire Co. and other nearby companies were invited to participate with Georgetown Fire Co. with their control burn. 1st Assistant Chief Mark “Bump” Rogers held a debriefing at the Georgetown Fire Co. and gave out assignments for personnel involved. The control burn consisted of burning down several chicken houses and protecting exposures. Ellendale Fire Co. sent their Engine/Tanker (75-8) with a crew consisting of Donald Webb, Rowland Moore, Keith Perry and Kyle Perry.
