Members of station 75 participated in a drill on the topics of instruction that consisted of vertical roof ventilation, ground ladder handling, and fall protection. Members were instructed on different ways to ventilate a roof by the use of a K-12 saw, Echo quick vent saw and hand tools. Members demonstrated their skills of ventilating a structure’s roof on the member-built roof prop; furthermore, members drilled on ground ladder handling simulating a situation with limited manpower. Members demonstrated ground ladder drags, raises and placement to the building. To conclude the training night, members were also instructed on the use of a new fall protection system.
