High Speed Chase Ends In Crash - Webbs Rd & N. Union Church Rd.

D.S.P. was in pursuit of an SUV heading Southbound on North Union Church Rd until the Driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle and rolled over. At about 15:25hrs on Saturday March 14, 2009, the Ellendale Fire Dept. was dispatched to a M.V.C. Rollover on Webbs Rd near the intersection of North Union Church Rd. 75-28(Reed) went responding and on scene shortly after dispatch. Rescue 75 went responding with Assistant Chief Moore with a staffing of 4. 75-28 advised responding units that there was 1 vehicle with 1 patient, trapped complaining of arm pain. Rescue 75 went on scene with an SUV off the roadway with 1 patient still inside the vehicle. Medic 101's paramedic assessed the patient and determined that the patient’s condition was a Priority 2. Trooper 2(heavy) was cancelled. Ambulance 78 arrived on scene and assisted with patient care. Engine 75-2 went responding with Deputy Chief Walton with a staffing of 2. 75-2 arrived on scene and assisted Rescue 75's crew with disabling the vehicle. Ambulance 78 transported the driver of the vehicle to Milford Memorial Hospital. 75 Command went under control and transferred the scene over to D.S.P. All 75 units cleared the scene at 15:56hrs. Bystanders stated that the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
