Passing of Past President Gary Evans

It is with deep sadness and sincere regret that the Ellendale Fire Co. announces the passing of Past President and Life Member Gary Evans.

Gary first took a leadership position as the company secretary in 1969 after returning to the company from service in the United States Navy. In 1995, Gary took over as treasurer from Lawrence Sammons, a position Lawrence had held for 49 calendar years (1946-1994). Eventually Gary rose to become company President. Along the way, Gary held several line officer positions, including Deputy Chief in 1996.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
